Jacqueline Knits

I have to post about this darling apple jacket from Jacqueline Knits on Etsy. How perfect of a gift would this be for a teacher?

Also, here is a tea bag tote

Pretty cute huh?

p.s. Sorry we've been horrible about updating this blog. Yeesh!

An Etsy Christmas!

So my husband is pretty smart. He checks this blog for ideas for Christmas and he's also pretty good at searching through Etsy for gifts as well. Here are his etsy finds for me this year and I couldn't be happier!

M Stevenson Designs - Secret Garden Multi-Color Earrings

Electrofork - Silver Plate Art Nouveau Style Pendant Necklace

And a blog entry a couple months ago, Le Photique - Chicago Skyline Necklace

These are just a package of little decorative tags. I tied two of them together and made an elegant bookmark (so now my books wear pearls!). You can also use them for scrapbooking or a tag on a gift or whatever.
Memrie Mare - Charcoal Pearl Berry Tags

The New Stevester - Three Color Orchids T-Shirt

As you can see, it was a pretty fun Christmas. =)

Book of Lights

This might be one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time. Book of Lights from Artecnica looks like so much fun! A lamp made of paper!

Thanks to poppytalk for bringing this to my attention.

Reform School

Reform School is an awesome website dedicated to several crafters and artists and being eco-friendly. It's a really cool website (in design and products) and I had fun checking out their many items. My favorite is this English Summer Pendant.

Or this fun Everyday People Hemp Purse

You can also get these and other designs as buttons (aka pins).

Not a magnet, but I loved the owl design used frequently at boygirlparty. I want these notecards.

You can find lots more information about the artist and her products at her real website, boygirlparty.com.

Hand-Made Valentines

vals3.jpg

Maybe it's because i'm writing my thesis on valentines that I like them so much lately and see the significance of them. Or Maybe I'm writing my thesis on them because they've always appealed to me. Either way, I'm excited for the valentines season, especially because of cinnamon gummi-hearts. Oh wait, I mean, especially because of hand-made valentines. Martha Stewart, of course, has some great suggestions on how to make simple ones on her site. These are geared towards kids, but you could always spruce them up and make them more elegant.

New Year, New People, New Stuff

Hi. I'm new around these parts. My name is Katie Elaine, and I finally convinced Kylie to let me start participating. I've been an avid reader of style blogs for a while, but posting will be a new (ad)venture for me. I'm a little nervous. I wanted to post something on my first go around that would just blow you out of the water. Something that would make you sit up and take notice and say, wow, now this girl has style! But something you'll soon find out is that I don't know if I have style or not. (Here's a secret: I really just like to post things on the Internet.) So rather than never post because I'm too intimidated by my own expectations, I've decided to just throw something out there.

I saw these vinyl coasters in a little boutique when I was visiting Boone, NC. Since then I've seen them a lot online and such, but I still think they're cool. I only wish, though, that you could pick out your own label instead of just getting a pack of 6. Although, on one website, they did ask which genre you wanted. You can pick these up off amazon, or other websites, for about $20.

Pixel Girl Shop

Pixel Girl Shop is a cool little store in which different people contribute different products that they make. It's definitely fun to browse and see the unique items that people make.

I absolutely ADORE these Rainy Day Earrings.

This is a fun print called Three's a Crowd by Ashley Goldberg.

Or this fantastic vinyl Sparrow Messenger bag by SugarLust Designs.

As you can see, there's a variety of items available for purchase here. It's a fun place. Check it out.

Chikagraphy!

Holy crap!!! Have you seen anything cuter???? These stuffed animals by Chikagraphy are soooo darling. The detail is pretty amazing and the shape of the animals are really fun. Here are some that I found through the Mahar Drygoods website (which is a really cool and fun store).
