Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! I thought I'd post some cute ideas of Halloween stuff today, even though it's pretty late to be doing any of these ideas. But at least it's a Halloweeny post, eh?

Martha Stewart's site has some really cute ideas (of course) for decorating, sweets and last minute costumes. So here are some of them.

Black Magic, Silk Flower Wreath

Creepcakes

Lace Patterned Pumpkins

Okay, this totally made me laugh: Spring Chicken

Raven costume

Corelle? Well, yeah.

So normally I don't see many commercials, thanks to Tivo, however I saw a new one for Corelle dishes. They were promoting their new designs and I quite liked them! The really nice thing about Corelle is they're super durable, so great for having kids around the house or if you don't want to use your fancy dishes all the time. Here are all the designs except for the plain white (use your imagination on that one).

Pretty Pink

Simple Lines

Eloquence

Dejarnette

So I came across and ad for Dejarnette while browsing Design Sponge and found I really like their stuff. My favorite section is the elegant section, but all of their jewelry is quite fashionable. Here are some of my favorites:

Monocle Necklace

Minty Julep Necklace

Stained Glass Pendant Necklace

Triple Medallion Necklace

Wrought Iron Earrings

It's really fun to find jewelry that has a specific "style" to it and this company is certainly full of style!

Scenic Buckles, Owl and Squid

The shape of an owl, a sunset, and a loop of leather.

Brooks Salzwedel has found a definite style, placing the silhouette in front and the foggy city behind. For belts. Big and wall-mounted would be nice, too! For example. Okay. Saw this on notcot's recommended.

The Quick Typhoon

The Quick Typhoon

It's great when a bankrupt brand gets a second life. Especially since, at first, you could get Quick shoes online for good and few pennies. Once I happened upon a pair of Quick Spurters for $18.90. Now they've done well and you simply cannot get the shoes anywhere in the US without some digging. At least, I assume the brand has done well.

The assumption comes from how thin and light and wonderful they are. Not at floppy as Converse, but so much less puffy than the others. Puff has not been the comfort of my life. I bought a pair of leather Roos at the same time which now have a floppy sole. While the Spurter sole, which comes up over the toe even, has maybe just a looser ankle because they never get untied.

Anyway, the Typhoons pictured herein look like a whole new amazing line, just look at that blue sheen on the dark pair. Five stars from everyone! I can relate to these people in a meaningful way that goes beyond mere childhood friendship.
